Town play hosts to Brentford this weekend hoping to end a run of four games without a win. The eight match unbeaten run seems oh so long ago now and the Terriers have slipped down the table as a result of away defeats at Derby, Fulham and last week at Bolton.
Despite the defeats at Derby and Fulham Chris Powells men showed some spirited performances and the team still looked high on confidence, however, it seems those two back to back losses have shaken things up a bit and with a couple of injuries to key players and the arrival of Diego Poyet thrown in for good measure Chris Powell now has the tough task of getting the season back on track.
Brentford, on the other hand, are currently riding high. Not many people would have had them down as play-off candidates at the start of the season but Mark Warburtons men are currently sitting a very proud 3rd in the Championship after some very impressive results and performances. A stark warning to Town that this is not a match to take lightly.
Joel Lynch and Harry Bunn are both doubts due to injury whilst Sean Scannell could also miss out after he limped off towards the end of last weeks defeat at the Macron Stadium. That could lead the way for Joe Lolley to get his first start under Powell, although he may also opt for a 3-5-2 formation with both Scannell and Bunn missing out wide.
Town 1-1 Brentford
Think we'll see a mix of the good and the bad from Town on saturday. If all three of Lynch, Bunn and Scannell are out I can see us struggling to grab the win but hopefully we'll have enough about us not to lose at home.
