Gary Rowetts rejuvenated Birmingham City are this weeks visitors to the John Smiths Stadium as Town look to bounce back from last weeks 5-0 crushing at the hands of Norwich.
Both teams were involved in high-scoring games last week, Birmingham smashed six past an underachieving Reading and will be looking to build on that result following their last away fixture that ended in defeat at former Blues, and Town, manager Lee Clark's Blackpool.
Town will be without Joel Lynch (injury) and Murray Wallace (suspended) so the expectation is that Anthony Gerard will be given his first start of the season. The defender certainly has a lot to prove although Lee Peltier and last weeks sub Paul Dixon will be pushing him for that spare place should Powell decide not to go down the obvious replacement route.
Elsewhere James Vaughan and Adam Hammill will be hoping to feature, it seems unlikely that Harry Bunn will be fit in time so Hammill in-particular will be raring to get a chance to compete for his place.
Town 2 Birmingham 2
Can see this being a close, tight, match with Town edging things but succumbing to errors at the back late on.
